So the ORIGINAL version of Area 51 Weeb Defense that was uploaded the day of the actual Area 51 raid has been unpublished due to Area 51 Weeb Defense 1.11: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/763460
being the best version to play over that. Now with the sequel out now on itch: https://t.co/3uiu1GQivU?amp=1h There's no need for the original version which in comparison has very little polish. Still I'll provide a link to the game for those that want to look at or preserve that initial version that started it all.

Tomorrow will be the 1st anniversary of the Area 51 raid and the release of Area 51 Weeb Defense.
It's also the release of the sequel Area 51 Weeb Defense 2.22!

So while Area 51 Weeb Defense is an update within itself it will be getting an update to address a few minor issues before I move on to work on the sequel: Area 51 Weeb Defense 2.22 which is coming out on September 20th, 2020, exactly one year since the actual Area 51 raid happened and when Area 51 Weeb Defense was initially released.
I will be starting a thread here on Newgrounds to share the progress of the game and applying ALL of the feedback I received in order to make the best sequel possible. Thank you to everyone that played Area 51 Weeb Defense 1.11 and the original I can't thank you enough for helping this game get off the ground and becoming one of my most successful titles to date.

AIE, (Academy of Interactive Entertainment in Lafayette, Louisiana) held a Game Jam from 6 pm Friday November 8th to Sunday 4 pm November 11th. The theme? Signal Lost.
What happens when a team of 7 artists come together and have to make a game within a weekend? The result is a game about a couple trying to find their way out of a forest and finding themselves along the way.
The game just got an update so check it out!

Hey people of Newgrounds how's it been? We have a lot to catch up on.
For starters Ghost Data Forgers Entertainment is now re-branded as Ghost Data Media for obvious reasons.
We're attempting to restructure our brand (and our website) in order to reflect our growth as an
Independent Development team.
As a result we've taken down at least 4 of our past games due to how outdated they look and feel (Although 2 of our current games on Newgrounds are remasters).
We're currently working on a side scrolling cute-em up that we're looking to get published. When our vertical slice will be ready is to be determined but the engine itself is 75% done. It's taken up our main priority for now but we're going to attempt to release 2 small games on Newgrounds by the end of the year.
Also If you live in the Lafayette, Louisiana area, We will be at Artcade on may 11th at the LITE building across from the Cajundome. Artcade is an event where Game Designers, Artists, and Film Makers all over Louisiana meet up and show off their latest projects to the public and it's free as well!
We will be there showcasing our own latest games and projects there.

I've put games on hold to work on art and animation related projects like sprites based off of 3D characters, 2 Game Grumps animations, and the animated Slenderman miniseries. This has troubled me since 2 of my games are currently in mid-development hell but are actually near completion (Thanks to Selvyn being quick with art assets)! I'm going to record myself working on these games to give myself a kick in the rear to get them finished on time.
Due to Patreon not working out for us or at least our style of game development,
We're working harder to get and complete outsource work and use our skills to fund our college tuition and game projects.
That's all for now. I'm debating on rebooting our YouTube channel in 2019 and having content heavily centered on our games, animated projects, and maybe even changing our name.....maybe.

Okay so we here at GDFE have some news to share, we're working hard on our original projects and are pushing for doing commission work in the future. To show off more of what we can do I'm remaking a lot of Flash games I made over the years on Newgrounds and I'm going to delete the old one's not only because I don't like looking back at my old work but also because by 2020 Flash will cease to be supported and HTML5 looks to be taking over on all browsers. We want to preserve any and all Flash content we have / make (Any game we make can be converted to Flash or HTML5) but the future has spoken and we will move on. I'm also re-making all of the sprites and assets for the games being made from the ground up.
I already remade Hallow-Scream IN JUST 6 HOURS compared to the original 2 Days it took back in 2013. I'll officially release the game on October 1st alongside an updated (not remade) version of Colors of Music.
The next game I'll remake is Lair of Zetarus Director's Cut and it will have a new lighting system for the HTML5 version (Due to the previous lighting effect not working with Flash or HTML5) and the .exe version will have a similar but updated lighting effect to the previous version.
Lair of Zetarus DX is set to release October 15th along with episode 1 (of 4) of our Slenderman miniseries.
As for further releases this past October, Nothing is happening in terms of releases. We'll be working on Witch Assassin Kyoko and episode 2 and 3 of the Slenderman miniseries but that's it.
We may work on 1 game or 2 other games if we're lucky but with college at AIE starting Fall of next year we're putting our focus on funding ourselves while attending. We could support ourselves making games full time via Patreon but that's a pipe dream and we'll continue updating it weekly mostly for ourselves but anyone interested in it should give it a look.

I've been holding off on posting my original sprite characters to Newgrounds due to not wanting to reveal too much of my projects or wanting to make sure no one steals and reuses my work. Now I believe I may have a compromise, I'll be making sprite art of 3D game characters in my style (Not an original idea but one that I appreciate). I'll be using this project as a way of practice every so often and as a way to reach out more to people who may want sprite commissions.
On that note I'm taking FREE REQUESTS for making Sprites based off of 3D Games only! These are only requests and I can refuse them if I find the request to be to my disliking. Nudity is okay but nothing lewd, not my style, just know I leave my initials on all my work to prevent it from being stolen/someone else taking credit for my work.
That's all for now, I have games to make and requests to take!
